My name is Brian "bsmitty" Smith, and I live in the Cleveland, OH area.
I started photographing after looking through a series of slides a friend had shown me. I borrowed money from my grandma to purchase my first camera, which was film. When I was a senior in high school, I found that photography had taken over my brain. I saved my pennies, went digital, and started bsmitty.com in 2006.
If I had to say what kind of style I photograph I guess you could say it is 'documentary.' I try to photograph what is real, whether what is in front of me, or what ends up in my dreams.
