WINOGRAND
“I wouldn't dare say what his interest was.” - Garry Winogrand
There’s a section in the Garry Winogrand documentary talking about the couple with the monkeys photo, and its debated as basically what the intention was photographing it. I can only assume Winogrand himself would say all of that is foolish and that it’s about the photograph.
To me the photo is a one of a kind. Probably my favorite of his.
