when i think of photography... i think of humanity, i feel i work best when people are involved and my imagination always involves people. i carry my camera with me almost all the time, so i find myself photographing things even though i knew i really had no place for the photographs. i have been recently thinking about what i can do, something new, something fresh and maybe even fun, and after talking about ohio with some friends and how difficult it can be to be creative at this time of year, immediately i thought thats it, you have to have serious love to be motivated in a state that seems (in my opinion) not that into art and the process of being a creative. so hopefully this heart shaped state prints will bring a sense of joy to someone who normally isnt collecting photography prints or any type of art for that matter and possibly open up to the idea of collecting! thank you everyone for your support whether its just taking your time checking out my blog, buying prints, or just being interested!

Official switch to shooting FUJIFILM X exclusively
I have officially sold my Canon equipment and no longer shooting with a dslr camera! Nothing against the Canon products, I believe there is still a place for dslr cameras but not for me, or many things anymore.
The change wasn't too hard for me to make... I went to NYC to hang out with my friend and work on the zine 'Juxtapose' I took my Canon 5d markiii and the fuji x100s. i carried a not so light bag all throughout the city for 3 days and I ended up pulling the Canon out of the bag once and not even using any of the photographs i shot with it. I knew it was time for a change.

This new bag set up makes me all sorts of happy. Very small, very light, very effective. Consists of the Fuji x 100s and the X-Pro 1 with the 35mm 1.4 Fujinon lens, eye-fi cards, Fuji ef-x20 flash, iPad air, and a gopro hero3 for behind the scenes/random video. The bag if you are wondering is the thinktank mirrorless mover 30i. (Still using alien bees lighting for certain shoots)
Thats it. Thats my kit. AMAZING. It is a no nonsense kit full of photographic potential!
